// FR — SYSTEMS-LEVEL SOFTWARE
I build the whole stack. And run it myself.
devfrp writes systems-level tools — from a from-scratch Linux audio driver to a native Windows PE executor. Everything below is a real public repo.
01Stats
Calculated live from the GitHub API.
02Projects
Mostly systems-level tools — things built to run on infrastructure I control. The list below is curated by hand; anything new that shows up on GitHub gets appended automatically underneath.
winux
A native Windows PE executor for Linux — no Wine, no VM, no container in the loop. Runs Windows binaries directly by working at the PE loader and syscall boundary instead of emulating a full machine or reimplementing the entire Win32 API surface.
- No VM or container — binaries run directly on the host
- No Wine dependency — a much smaller surface area than a full API reimplementation
- MIT licensed, written in C
Linux-motu-pci-424
A from-scratch Linux ALSA driver for the MOTU PCI-324/PCI-424 audio card and its AudioWire interfaces — reverse-engineered directly from the vendor's Windows driver, since MOTU never shipped Linux support for this hardware.
- Full ALSA driver written from scratch, no vendor Linux source to build on
- Reverse-engineered from the Windows driver binary
- Covers the AudioWire interface protocol, not just basic PCM audio
asnux
A low-latency audio engine for Linux, built as the equivalent of ASIO4ALL on Windows — gives low-latency access across the existing Linux audio stack, packaged for 20 different formats.
- ASIO4ALL-equivalent low-latency routing for Linux
- Packaged across 20 different formats/distros
- Sits on top of the existing Linux audio stack rather than replacing it
RJ-45-SOUND-CARD
A network audio bridge that shares any sound card over Ethernet — plug a card in on one machine, use it from another over RJ45, across Windows, Linux and macOS.
- Cross-platform — Windows, Linux and macOS clients
- Streams over plain Ethernet, no dedicated audio-over-IP hardware needed
- Written in Rust
REAPER-OS
A Linux distribution built specifically for music production around REAPER — DAW and audio stack configured and ready out of the box, instead of hand-tuning JACK/PipeWire/ALSA from scratch.
- REAPER preconfigured as the default DAW
- Audio stack tuned for low latency out of the box
- GPLv3, built on top of an existing base distro
sample-vault
An offline-first audio sample manager for producers — browse, tag, and preview sample libraries in the browser, with waveform preview and no dependency on a network connection.
- Offline-first — works without an internet connection
- Waveform preview via WaveSurfer.js
- React + Tailwind front end
mcp-garmin-for-ia
A self-hosted MCP connector that links a Garmin account to Claude — runs entirely on your own machine, with zero third-party server in the middle and credentials that never leave your hardware.
- Zero third-party server — the connector runs on your own machine
- Garmin credentials never leave your machine
- Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
macos-tahoe-proxmox
A one-command installer for a macOS Tahoe (macOS 26) VM on Proxmox VE — works on any Intel or AMD CPU, with or without AVX2 support.
- One command, from zero to a running macOS VM on Proxmox
- Works without AVX2 — most Hackintosh/VM guides require it
- CPU-agnostic across Intel and AMD
easy-hackintosh
Auto-generates a bootable macOS installer and a matching OpenCore EFI tailored to your specific hardware, from Linux or Windows — takes the manual, error-prone parts out of building a Hackintosh EFI.
- Generates a hardware-matched OpenCore EFI automatically
- Runs from Linux or Windows, not just macOS
- Builds the bootable installer, not just the EFI
Cairn
A self-hosted fitness analytics app — training data stays on a server you control instead of a third-party platform's.
- Fully self-hosted — no third-party account required
- Analytics on top of training history, not just a raw log
